READ THIS: Monmouthshire County Council Chairman welcomes the Olympic Torch to Wales.

The Olympic Torch will enter Wales through Monmouthshire, on Friday 25th May – as part of its journey and relay, around the UK prior to the London Olympic Games in Summer 2012. Monmouthshire Council, WikiMedia UK and MonmouthpediA are excited to be supporting this event, on the flame’s journey…

  • 9am – Webcast joins BBC Radio Wales, to give you a live backstage view of their broadcast

  • 10:45am – 11:15am The Olympic Torch arrives in Monmouth, we will be LIVE from Shire Hall, Monmouth
  • We aim to close our Live Webcast at 11:30 AM (11:30) BST (GMT +1)

Torch nears Monmouthshire!

The Olympic torch will pass through Monmouth and Monmouthshire on Friday 25th May – take a look at where you can catch a glimpse, in Wales…!

Monmouth
10.44 am – Monmouth School & Leisure Centre
11:04 – onto Old Dixton Road, Monmouth
11:08 – the Torch enters Agincourt Square, Monmouth
11:14 – the Torch will reach the Monnow Bridge
11:17 – the Torch leaves Monmouth

Raglan
11:29 – the Torch arrives in Raglan
11:32 – the Torch travels through Raglan via the High Street
11:36 – the Torch leaves Raglan

Abergavenny
11:48 – the Torch arrives in Abergavenny and travels down the A40 to the A4143
12:16 – the Torch arrives at Waitrose car park, Abergavenny
12:32 – the Torch leaves Abergavenny
