MONMOUTH FLAME (Short Film)

Watch the short film (produced by Dsoundz Media, for Monmouthshire County Council) called “MONMOUTH FLAME”. Edited highlight’s of the Olympic Torch Relay in Monmouth, and the build up to it.

ABOUT THE FILM:

Monmouth Flame is a short 30 minute film made for Monmouthshire County Council, to document and celebrate when the Olympic Torch arrived for the first time in Wales, on May 25th 2012. This short film celebrates the people involved, as well as the Historic town of Monmouth, Wales. The film features snapshots of the build up to the Olympic Torch arrival, including live music from the Chepstow and Usk Choir, a merry dance from The Widders morris men (and ladys) as well as interviews from BBC Radio Wales and the Welsh Secretary of State.

This film was shot using a mix of mobile cameras on phones, a mini zoom HD video camera and a Cannon 5D. It was edited using Final Cut Pro X. The music was originally written by Sam Downie. The film was edited, produced and directed by Sam Downie for Dsoundz Media.

The film was made for Monmouthshire County Council and Shire Hall, Monmouth, Wales.
It’s also supported by Wikimedia UK, the UK chapter of Wikipedia.
